Uí Néill Utara
Uí Néill Utara merupakan nama yang diberikan kepada beberapa dinasti pada abad pertengahan di barat laut Irlandia, yang mengaku sebagai keturunan dari nenek moyang yang sama, Niall Noígíallach.[1] Dinasti lain di bagian tengah dan timur Irlandia yang juga mengaku keturunan dari Niall disebut Uí Néill Selatan (bersama-sama mereka dikenal sebagai dinasti Uí Néill). Dinasti Uí Néill Utara adalah Cenél Conaill dan Cenél nEógain, dinamai menurut nama putra Niall: Conall dan Eógain.[2]
Kerajaan Uí Néill Utara pada masa-masa awalnya dikenal sebagai In Fochla dan In Tuaiscert, keduanya berarti "Utara", dan pada awalnya diperintah oleh Cenél Conaill. Setelah Cenél nEógain naik pamor, kerajaan itu dikenal sebagai Ailech.
