Elgin is a rural locality in the Isaac Region, Queensland, Australia.[2] In the 2021 census, Elgin had a population of 52 people.[1]

Geography

Epping Forest National Park is in the south-east of the locality (22°21′00″S 146°42′09″E / 22.3500°S 146.7025°E / -22.3500; 146.7025 (Epping Forest National Park)).[3][4] Apart from the national park, the land use is almost entirely grazing on native vegetation.[3]

In the 2016 census, Elgin had a population of 41 people.[5]

In the 2021 census, Elgin had a population of 52 people.[1]

Education
